JASM/B002 Karen tribe (?) Burma, Southeast Asia Torque necklace Coin silver 4.75 in. wide, 4 in. long. Neck opening 2.5 in. Excellent Crescent shaped torque style tribal necklace. Handcrafted, with graved and sculpted deep relief designs on front and reverse sides. The richly textured, ribbed and fluted midsection is accented by engraving, featuring stylized overlapping Peacock feathers or abstractions of fish, and terminate in conical caps, favored by several tribal groups in Burma, including the Wa and Karen. |
