Good condition. A few slight chips or wear marks. Slight surface cracking in the lacquer.
Countless meals and drinks must have been served on this lovely example of black lacquerware tray, byat. Probably from the town of Kyaukka in western central Burma near town of Monywa, who’s known for their strong, durable, black lacquerware. Mostly used in a Burmese home but could also be used to making offering to monks or officials. Collected in upper Burma mid 1990’s
