Richly patinated wooden manuscript cover, the central panel consisting of 4 deeply engraved seated Buddha's displaying various mudras and surmounted by kirtimukha, garuda and the three jewels. The Buddha's thrones are supported by symbolic animals and lotus flowers. The central panel bordered by a foliate design, the right end of the manuscript cover with a deeply carved kirtimukha face of glory. Circa 17th to 18th Century or earlier
